Mid-sized Business Execs, if you don’t protect your company and customer’s data from a cyber-breach you will be open to an FTC lawsuit –and this case will provide precedent.

The Third U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the FTC could proceed with a lawsuit alleging that Wyndham Worldwide Corp. was in some part responsible for three data breaches in which hackers stole more than 619,000 credit/debit card numbers.
