Security Analyst

In this position, you will work with customers on supporting the NetWatcher Managed Security Service.
Duties will include:

  • Monitor events and logs from Information Technology and Cyber Security data feeds.
  • Research and document threats and their behavior, including monitoring external CSIRTS/CERTs.
  • Analyze and coordinate resolution for detected network and security incidents.
  • Clearly manage security incident response coordination (reporting, resource and blocking incidents).
  • Conduct production security monitoring for all information systems.
  • Monitor the Security Information and Even Management (SIEM) to identify any anomalies.
  • Monitor and analyze data feeds of events and logs from firewalls, routers, and other network devices or hosts for security violations and determine vulnerabilities.
  • Recognize potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises thorough reviews and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information.
  • Perform vulnerability testing and reporting.
  • Perform Cyber security incident response activities.
  • Perform security testing and evaluation.
  • Provide off-hours support as needed.

Applicant Requirements: 

  • Experience supporting IT operations in a complex network environment.
  • Experience supporting operations of enterprise security technologies.
  • Working experience with SNORT, Suricata and other Open Source security technologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT security technology, to include scan tools, firewalls and the inherent capabilities built into hardware and software.
  • Deep knowledge of TCP-IP and associated protocols.
  • Deep understanding of network packet analysis and anomaly detection.
  • Experience in establishing and implementing Security Operations Center incident resolution processes and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with emphasis on ability to communicate Technical information to non-technical audiences, and direct experience interfacing with customers required.
  • Communicate effectively and collaboratively with other employees and customers.
  • Sensitivity to accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism in all areas.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision required.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) a plus.
  • Good understanding of SCRUM a plus.

Helpdesk Analyst

Helpdesk Analysts are skilled in providing end-user support of the company’s NetWatcher™ Managed Security Service, which includes helping customers with their security issues, assisting with sensor installation, and providing step-by-step instructions for usage questions.

Duties will include:

  • Receive and respond to telephone, email, and web requests for assistance.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical issues related to a wide variety of security scenarios.
  • Walk customer through problem-solving process.
  • Provide installation and usage instructions for the NetWatcher sensor.
  • Follow-up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
  • Document all customer interaction in our helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Other duties as determined by changing business needs.

Applicant Requirements: 

  • At least 6 months previous helpdesk experience.
  • At least 1 year post-secondary education strongly preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills as well as an ability to think independently.
  • Proven proficiency with multiple computer systems including Linux, Macintosh OS X, Windows 7, Windows 8, iOS and Android.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Knowledge of TCP-IP and associated protocols a plus.
